How often enough do you consider quitting your job and feel that you are not getting paid for the dedication and service you offer your organization? If you spend a significant amount of your life working, it is important to invest even just a few minutes into making your work environment better for yourself, your coworkers, and your employees. This applies to people in office environments and those who work from multiple workstations at a time.

As a manager it is important to be able to identify the specific stress triggers in your office. Doing so means you can take steps to minimize their impact. Stressed out team members can have a shorter fuse. Apart from affecting performance, this can also erode morale and team harmony. A stressed employee might snap at their co-workers, or behave in other ways that can cause the rest of the team to feel stressed too. So work-related stress can quickly become a problem for your entire team if not dealt with quickly

TBS would like to give you tips to create a HEALTH WORK ENVIRONMENT

Accept who others are:

We’re all different. It’s much healthier to accept that every one is unique than to wish they were more like someone else. Making them feeling good about themself boosts their confidence to learn new skills. Encourage and praise them when ever you notice someone going above and beyond.

Build Trust:

Your team wants to be trusted. They want to be given responsibility because it shows that you’re confident in their abilities. Trust means micromanaging less, but also creating accountability to ensure things are getting done.

Team building activities:

Team building activities not only bond employees closer but also motivate them, creating a positive workplace environment. These activities help improve internal communication and productivity, boosting morale at the workplace and in helping employees get to know each other better. Allow multiple ways of working:

Everyone works in different ways, so to get the most out of your team, offer different ways to work. Focussed workers will often be working on a single task or project, and need a quiet area to be able to concentrate. Social workers work best when interacting with their colleagues, so social working areas will benefit this type of worker. Collaborative workers also work well with other people, whether this is one person or a whole group.

You will have some members of a team who are learners. These are the people in your team who work well when they can acquire new knowledge, whether this is through education or experience. Make sure that you give these team members the opportunity and resources to work to the best of their ability.

Don’t keep score:

It’s important to not keep track of all of the good and bad results employees have produced. Remaining positive and reassuring a common goal to have everyone work towards is what is most helpful

Celebrate Fun at Workday:

Instead of working on Fun at Workday make it a time for everyone to come in and have fun. Plan out a whole day of team building games, movies, and pet projects. Have lunch catered and keep snacks on hand – well-fed people are happy people. Some managers may look at this as wasting a day of work, but in the end, the boost in productivity levels will more than makeup for it.

Let it be clean:

Having a clean and neat office space can make people feel more positive, while also making it easier to work. Encouraging staff to clean up after themselves is also important, and there should be clear desk policies in place to help maintain an organized workplace. Adopting green practices is another way you can bring more happiness to your workplace

Give them control:

This will not only be great for you but will mean the world to them. We all love to feel important, and when your manager trusts you enough to put you in charge of something, you immediately feel a sense of responsibility and ownership

Always remember your role is to support and develop, so you can all go beyond the status
